Carina Ayiesha Brown, daughter of the beloved Eileen Callier, is a Transmedia Artist who views life as art and seeks to infuse it with love and passion. Her personal mission statement is “artistic inspiration from the inside out.” She’s been writing poetry since the age of 11 and began performing her poetry in high school.
After graduating from Campbell High School in Smyrna Georgia, Carina attended Georgia State University and later transferred to California State University Dominguez Hills. She received her Bachelors in Art with a minor in dance, concurrently training as a diversity facilitator and a Donestic Violence and ADX counselor. She recieved her Master of cosmetology certification at El Camino College In California.
On campus at Dominguez, she had the privilege of experiencing a true “communiversity” as a programming member of the Multicultural club.She was also enriched by working as the youth arts director at Krst Unity Center of African Spiritual Science in Los Angeles, her home away from home. She is the CEO of Carina’s StudioTM, a private natural hair studio and boutique in Smyrna .
She’s choreographed musical theatre productions at The Children’s School in Atlanta and launched a dance fitness and empowerment program called AfricopiaTM. She is joyfully married to Rod Brown, CEO of Native ComicsTM. They have two children Jhai (7) and Maya(2) and one on the way.
